The one and only Ana Forrest will be joining us for a weekend of workshops on 18th - 20th August 2017. We will be taking over Lord’s Cricket Ground for the whole weekend to host a series of workshops with this pioneer of yoga, renowned author and emotional healer.
Ana Forrest has been teaching yoga for nearly 40 years. Internationally recognised as a pioneer in yoga and emotional healing, she teaches from an intuitive and highly developed understanding of the human body and psyche. With her meticulous guidance, Ana’s students cultivate an acute awareness of their own practice and life process, resulting in an exhilarating journey into self-discover, cleansing and healing.

Ana is the creatrix of Forrest Yoga - a practice renowned as intensely physical and internally focused that emphasises how to carry a transformative experience off the mat and into daily life. It is founded on four pillars:

1. Breath

Forrest Yoga teaches you how to breath deeply, connect in feeling with your body, use the power of breath to bring aliveness into every cell of your body and ignite your passion for living.

2. Strength

Forrest Yoga teaches you to connect to your core, to be strong and centered. The intense pose sequences are designed to help you develop the skills to awaken each of your senses. The long holds help you progress in the poses and go deeper. Aided by the use of heat, your body is freed from toxins; the deep breathing  oxygenates and rejuvenates every cell in your body.

3. Integrity

Forrest Yoga teaches you to become proficient at safely tailoring each pose to work best for you, particularly with physical and emotional injuries. By learning to work honestly at your edges, you develop effective tools to deal with fear and struggle. This makes it possible for integrity, self-awareness and playful curiosity to become part of your daily life.

4. Spirit

Forrest Yoga's intent is to create a sense of freedom, a connection to your Spirit and the courage to walk as your Spirit dictates.
So seasoned Forrest yogi or first timer, this is a rare chance to come an practice with one of the most influential and pioneering women in yoga today. The weekend's timetable is as follows:

Friday 18th August

6 - 8.30pm: Celebrate Your Practice

Saturday 19th August

10am - 1pm: Building the Warrior Heart

3 - 5pm: Luminous Core

Sunday 20th August:

10am - 1pm: Heal Your Back

3 - 5.30pm: Gravity Surfing (Advanced)
All workshops begin with a short, yet very special Ceremony of song, dance and smoke blessing. Ana and Medicine Man, Jose Calarco set the intent for the practice and honour those taking part, the ancestors and custodians of our sacred land.

We will provide one mat for you to use for rolling but you will need to bring your own mat to practice on along with a 6' strap and a block.
Individual workshops are £60 each or you can book into the full weekend (5 workshops) for £275.
