OVERVIEW

Do you want to move more freely, recover faster, and feel better in your body?

Join Deborah Liu for a powerful two-day immersion into Self-Myofascial Release (SMFR), a highly effective practice that uses specially designed therapy balls to release tension, improve mobility, reduce pain, help prevent injuries and support recovery throughout the entire body.

Modern life, repetitive movement, stress, injury, and long hours of sitting can cause the body's fascia—the connective tissue that surrounds and supports every muscle, joint, and organ—to become tight, dehydrated, and restricted. These restrictions often contribute to stiffness, poor posture, reduced mobility, chronic tension, and pain, and can lead to injuries.

Through a systematic, head-to-toe approach, you'll learn simple yet impactful techniques that empower you to release areas of restriction, improve tissue health, restore freedom of movement, and address lingering aches before they become chronic issues. You'll leave with a practical self-care toolkit that you can use anytime to maintain a healthy, resilient body.

what is fascia?

Fascia is the continuous, 3D web of connective tissue that wraps around and infuses every muscle, bone, nerve, organ, and blood vessel in your body. When muscles are underused, overused, or misused, our tissues lose their natural “slide and glide,” forming adhesions or "sticky spots” that limit mobility, dampen athletic performance, and can lead to pain throughout the body or injury.

Using specialized self-massage tools, this workshop teaches you how to systematically hydrate, reinstate slide and glide, and release these restrictions, returning your fascia to its supple, elastic state.

Course Information

Benefits of Self-Myofascial Release

  • Reduce pain, stiffness, and muscular tension

  • Improve mobility, flexibility, and posture

  • Accelerate recovery and support injury prevention

  • Enhance athletic and yoga performance

  • Improve circulation and tissue hydration

  • Increase body awareness and movement efficiency

  • Reduce stress and calm the nervous system

Why everyone needs this practice?

This workshop is suitable for all ages, fitness levels, and movement backgrounds, including:

  • For Yoga & Pilates Practitioners: Deepen your flexibility and structural awareness. Releasing fascial restrictions allows you to move through your practice with greater ease, reducing strain on joints and helping you access deeper, safer ranges of motion without forcing the body.

  • For Athletes & Weekend Warriors: Speed up recovery, prevent injuries, and improve muscle efficiency. Clearing out micro-restrictions in the connective tissue enhances blood flow, optimizes muscle performance, and ensures you bounce back faster after heavy training or weekend adventures.

  • For Office Workers & Desk Warriors: Counteract the postural drain of sitting. Target chronic neck, shoulder, and lower back tightness caused by hours in a fixed position, and restore proper spinal alignment and breath capacity.

  • For Everyone Else: Pain and stiffness are not inevitable parts of aging or daily life. Learning these self-massage techniques empowers you to self massage consistently to maintain healthy fascia before it ever becomes a bigger issue.

Whether you're looking to improve performance, recover from training, manage chronic tension, or simply move with greater ease, this workshop will give you practical skills that continue to support your health and wellbeing long after the weekend is over.

What You Will Learn & Experience

  • The Science Made Simple: A clear, approachable breakdown of what fascia is and how self-myofascial release fundamentally changes tissue health.

  • Hands-On Self-Massage Techniques: Step-by-step guidance on using specialized fascia balls to release key tension hotspots from head to toes (feet, ankles, lower legs, thighs, hip flexors, glutes and hips, lower and upper back, shoulders, arms, hands, wrists, head, neck, face, jaw).

  • Empowerment Through Education: Leave with sequences by body part that you can practice at home in just a few minutes a day.

  • Deep Nervous System Reset: Experience a profound sense of calm as the fascial release signals to your nervous system to downshift and fully relax.

Move better. Recover faster. Live stronger in your body.
