Face Yoga for Glowing and Beautiful Skin with Pooja Chakravarty

Face yoga finds its origins in Ashtang Yoga. Ashtang Yoga, which means eight parts (asht - eight; ang-parts), is a school of yoga that brings together eight principles of wellbeing to make a truly holistic experience. Face yoga is a series of facial exercises, where you intentionally isolate and tone your face muscles. We all have these tiny, delicate muscles in our face that you might not even think twice about.

 

In this 40-min session, we will look to relax the overworked muscles (like our eyes and our cheeks) and activate the underworked ones (like our neck). We will combine facial exercises with chanting, acupressure, massage and breathing exercises to give our faces a beautiful workout. We will come out of the session with plumper and tighter skin, increased blood circulation, higher production of collagen and more relaxed muscles. While we cannot reverse the process of aging, we can definitely control it and Face Yoga helps in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. In this session, we're toning the muscles, getting our blood flowing, and getting some meditation and breathwork in while we're at it.
