Errin Briscoe is excited to share news of two upcoming workshops this spring. For a comprehensive experience of the Art of Play, we suggest attending both dates. Each session will focus on different aspects of arm balances and inversions. The specific details for exploration will be unveiled on the respective workshop dates, infusing a sense of creativity into the sessions.
Dates:
23rd March - 11:30 am to 1:30 pm
4th May - 11:30 am to 1:30 pm
These 2 workshops will incorporate multiple modalities of yoga, movement, flow + bodyweight strength training in order to help each student carve out their own playful path towards developing skills in arm balances & inversions (pincha mayurasana + headstand). Errin teaches yoga, mixed movement + strength training so her approach to specific asana includes influences from capoeira, calisthenics, floorwork and more. There is no single route towards training more challenging shapes for our bodies and it is important that we allow for our individuality to shine through as we figure things out. We will dive into both static asana as well as transitions for those who want the extra challenge.
Both workshops will include discussion and practices that cover: breathwork, strengthening drills, joint mobility, flexibility and flow.
Not suitable for complete beginners. We require people with understanding of asana and have some body awareness.
