A special sound meditation workshop for deep relaxation.
Athena will guide you through some simple mantras and pranayama (breathing) exercises to transition you into a safe, nurturing space before surrendering the physical body on the mat. The sonorous sound and vibrations of the gong provide a sensory thread which will gently steer you through a meditative experience and lead your body into its Delta and Theta brainwave states. These states are normally reached during deep sleep, and they are known to release tension, reduce stress and anxiety, alleviate depression and promote natural healing. Some will experience lucid dreaming ‘soul journeys’. This is simply one of the most effective R&R, rejuvenating the mind and body.
Please wear comfortable clothing and plug in your headphones (essential), and have blankets and pillows (for under knees and head) ready. Lavender oil/ Eye masks/ sheet masks totally optional but lovely too!
