In-Person
Journey Back to Self
A Two-Day Immersion in Somatic Breathwork, Internal Family Systems and Embodiment
with Rebecca Dennis and Soulla Demetriou
Dates: 9 - 10 October 2026
OVERVIEW
Join Rebecca Dennis and Soulla Demetriou for Journey Back to Self, a two-day immersive experience designed to support deep reconnection with your inner world through embodied presence, self-compassion and clarity.
Grounded in Integrative Somatic Breathwork and Internal Family Systems (IFS), this immersion supports participants to understand how their inner system has been shaped by life experiences. Through guided exploration, you will begin to recognise patterns of wounding and protection and relate to yourself with greater awareness and care.
Journey Back to Self is for those ready to slow down, listen inwardly and cultivate a more compassionate relationship with themselves and their lived experience.
Course Information
Participants will be introduced to the foundations of IFS in an accessible, experiential way. You will be guided to map your inner emotional blueprint, exploring key events, relationships and adaptations that have shaped how you think, feel and respond. This includes working with wounded parts, protective strategies and the nervous system responses that underpin familiar patterns such as perfectionism, over-responsibility, emotional shutdown or burnout.
This understanding is integrated through embodied practice. Somatic breathwork, conscious movement, body-based practices, restorative work and trauma-informed breathwork support participants to engage directly with their inner experience rather than analysing it from a distance. The work is held through the lens of self-compassion and reparenting, supporting the restoration of safety, curiosity and Self-leadership within the internal system.
Integrating breathwork with IFS creates a powerful somatic bridge, allowing insight to move beyond the mind and into lived experience. Breathwork supports the nervous system to soften, creating the conditions for deeper parts to emerge safely and for protective patterns held in the body to release and reorganise. This integration supports meaningful, embodied change rather than insight alone.
This journey includes:
Experiential teaching and introduction to Internal Family Systems
Guided mapping of your inner emotional blueprint
Group somatic breathwork sessions for deep processing and integration
Exploration of breath patterns, wounding, protection and nervous system responses
Embodied practices rooted in self-compassion and reparenting
Somatic and partner meditation, conscious movement and restorative practices
Expect a grounded, embodied and carefully held journey back to Self.
